Have You Stopped Dreaming or Believing in Your Dreams?

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." Eleanor Roosevelt

I was the child who day dreamed my way through many classes in school. My mind was often anywhere but where I was. As an adult, though, I quickly stopped dreaming. It was irrational. When it came to getting what I wanted in life I saw practicality and limiting beliefs.

In the last few years, though, I've been reintroduced to dreaming. Dreaming is important. If you want something, it's important that you see and feel it first. One of my dreams and visions for Empowering Modern Mom is that I eventually have it in magazines and on TV in various capacities. This dream has been acknowledged in two ways in the last year.

1.) One of my social media posts was featured in my network marketing company's #STARTYOURLIFE and Stars magazines. When they asked if they could use my photo, I assumed it was a small, quick photo that was easily passed over. Nope! It was a decent size and my teammates definitely saw it and acknowledged it! It was an awesome experience and a fun sign that my dream was heard and is on its way.

2.) If you follow me on social media, you know that I had a fun, unexpected experience when I arrived at the hair salon on Saturday morning. It serves you to dream and be open to possibilities! On Saturday I rolled out of bed, threw on workout clothes, and did a quick, two-minute makeup job before driving almost an hour North. I was shocked to walk into the salon at 8 am to find it overflowing with people dressed in black, a release being placed in my hands for my signature, and a camera being set up by and then at my stylist's chair. Yes, I unexpectedly walked right into a COMMERCIAL SHOOT and received plenty of camera time. Plenty of other people got screen time, too. There's no telling what the final product will look like. BUT. If I had canceled the appointment on Thursday like I'd contemplated, I never would have experienced this! If I hadn't begun living my life open to unexpected possibilities and opportunities, I might have missed it.

The lesson here is to Dream BIG!!! Watch how those dreams slowly (or not-so-slowly) come to fruition in some shape or fashion! Saturday it was a commercial shoot. There are bigger EMM-centered things in the future!
